Each filter cartridge lasts approximately one year for a family of four. Just mail your warranty card to New Wave Enviro and they will remind you by post card when it is time to change your cartridge so that "dumping" does not occur. To replace the filter you simply unscrew the housing, remove the old cartridge and drop in a new filter cartridge.

Product Specifications
- The Ten Stage PREMIUM Filter is effective against the following: chlorine, cancer causing organic / chlorine compounds called Trihalomethanes (THM), bad odors (e.g., Hydrogen Sulfide which gives water a rotten egg smell), pesticides, herbicides, PCB's, toxic heavy metals (e.g., lead, cadmium, arsenic), asbestos, micro-organisms (protozoa and cysts) such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia, and dozens of other lesser known organic contaminants.
- NOTE: For heavily contaminated wells, we recommend using another treatment system in addition to this filter.
- For treated city water, we recommend the less-expensive fresh water works system instead.
- Each replaceable cartridge filters 1,500 gallons.
- The Premium 10-Stage Water Filter system includes the same housing and attachment hardware as our Fresh Water Works filter system. The difference between the two is the filter cartridge inside the system.
