Composting Worms

We sell red wiggler composting worms (Eisenia foetida) by the Chinese take out package. Rather than sorting them out and selling them by the pound, our supplier scoops out some active worm compost which includes worms and the food the worms are working on. We find this system works best if you want worms for composting rather than fishing. The active worm compost contains a mini-ecosystem of creatures that help the worms break down food into castings. When you get your worms, add them and the active compost they are living in to your worm bin. Feed them small amounts several times a week. Within a few weeks you'll have hundreds of worms!

Please note that because worms suffer in extreme cold or heat, we can only ship worms from March through October.  In addition, worms ship out on Monday or Tuesday to insure that they do not get stuck on a truck over the weekend.
