Compost Leaves and Yard WasteFor composting piles of leaves or yard waste, our preferred method is a wire frame composter. Easy to set up, our wire frame composter rolls up for convenient storage. To use your wire frame composter, simply unroll the wire screen and hook the ends together to form a hoop. Set this on level ground, then pile leaves, grass clippings and other yard trimmings to make a heap three feet tall and three feet in diameter. Mix in manure or a compost activator, while thoroughly drenching with water. You may bury kitchen scraps in the middle of your heap, but be aware that they may attract animals. If you plan to compost a lot of kitchen scraps, Soilsavers and Sun-Mar Garden composters are more pest resistant. Keep your heap moist for three days, then pull off the wire frame, set it down next to the heap, then toss the heap into the wire frame again, thereby thoroughly mixing and aerating the materials. Keep the heap moist for another week or so. In warm weather, you can make compost in about two weeks with this method. Product FeaturesDimensions: 3' tall x 10' circumference
